ProfiTune Business Systems Pty Ltd was formed in 2002 to facilitate a coaching arm to a very powerful business model initially developed by Damien Parker in the late 1980’s. It is a subsidiary of BPA a top 400 company in Queensland who has been in business for over 17 years. Essential Business Profits is a licensed and accredited Profitune Franchisee.

Throughout the 1990s this basic business model (initially known as the 5% model) was perfected via a number of intensive two-day workshops whereby clients of Business Publications Australia were trained in the use of the model.

In essence, the model looked at making small changes to the key areas of the business and then to quarantine those additional profits so that they could not be squandered or simply “lost” in the system.

Clients were impressed with the simplicity of the system and many made substantial improvements that provided many, many thousands of dollars in additional profits.

However, when surveying clients for their results a few years down the track, it became clear that a major issue for small business - lack of time – was a significant deterrent to people properly working the system, as was a lack of accountability.

Hence the need in the marketplace to utilize at-arms-length individuals (or Business Improvement Specialists™) who could keep the clients honest focused on achieving their goals.
